About

The IHSAA is a statewide service organization that has been working to coordinate, develop, direct, and promote boys’ high school and junior high sports and activities in Iowa since 1904. With 11 sanctioned sports and over 360 member schools, the IHSAA operates postseason and state tournament events as well as providing student leadership and educational programming opportunities. The IHSAA offers free membership to all high schools in Iowa that are recognized by the state DOE and works alongside three partner organizations: the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, the Iowa High School Music Assoc., and the Iowa High School Speech Assoc.
